[long] SUMMARY
First of all, Xemnas is the leader of Organization XIII, and the founder of it. He is the brains behind the whole operation
and is the reason the Organization exists.
Xemnas is a very complicated Nobody. Well, let's just start with his name. Most people by now should have realized that
Xemnas is an anagram of Ansem with an X. Unfortunately, many people found another way to recreate the letters.... and Mansex
sort of lost his respect... and his dignity...
Anyways, Xemnas is a key character because he is the one who brings about much of the Organization. First of all, though,
his history.
Xemnas used to be, way way before the events of KH2, Master Xehanort. He was also Terra. Sort of confusing, but let's
move on. So, Master Xehanort and Terra resided eventually into the heart of a new man, born purely of the hearts of his captives.
This man's name is Xehanort. So, Xehanort is pretty much the true Somebody of Xemnas.
Xehanort became one of Ansem the Wise's apprentices, eager to begin studying under him, learning of the natures of the
heart. Darkness and Light of the heart, hoping as his ultimate goal to use the natures of how a heart is lost to the darkness
to possibly be able to create a heart from nothing at all. However, he started being consumed with the darkness and creatures
called the Heartless, which he named himself. All of this began after Ansem the Wise ordered Xehanort to seal away the
research facility. Xehanort conducted these secret experiments without his master knowing, and in the end, it ultimately destroyed
him.
Xehanort saw the nature of the Heartless, and realized they fed on hearts, deduced they thrive for the heart of the world,
and their goal is to multiply and capture the greatest heart of all, Kingdom Hearts. But, when diving into the darkness to
gather as much information as possible, he became a Heartless who was known solely as Ansem, stealing the name of his master,
framing him of all the wrongdoing Xehanort may have made. His Nobody is named Xemnas, and that's who we are talking about
now.
One last tip before we really get started is that, all forms of Xehanort, as a master, a person, a Heartless and a Nobody,
all in some way for some reason, thrived to capture Kingdom Hearts. Master Xehanort, because he wanted to control its
power for his own, Xehanort, moreso to study more in detail about the Heartless and to make great achievements, Ansem, Seeker
of Darkness to hold control over the darkness within Kingdom Hearts, believing he could claim the supreme darkness, and finally
Xemnas.
Now, why does Xemnas want Kingdom Hearts? Well, he's a Nobody, and all Nobodies lack hearts. He has learned to cope without
having a heart and has understood the nature of Nobodies, expanding his original research from Xehanort, writing more documents
and understanding more. He then used that knowledge of everything, including his knowledge of the Keyblade to formulate a
plan to get his heart back. That way, the rest of his unfinished experiments can go on as planned, and he can become the wisest
man in existence. In order to do this, here is what he did:
1) Gather a group of as many Nobodies like him to form a club that has wishes like his, to get their
hearts back.
- He accomplished this by taking his fellow 5 apprentices of Ansem the Wise, all of which also lost their hearts to darkness
and got their Nobodies all together to form the basis of the Organization. All of them then began scouring the many worlds
In-Between where Nobodies are born to find more members to join the Organization.
Lea and Isa, two teenagers of Radiant Garden who lost their hearts when their world was stolen from them became the first
recruits to the Organization. Following were Myed, Rould, Lumaria, and Elenar(totally guessing here). All of Organizaton XIII
recreated their names by making an anagram of their originals names plus an X.
2) Find a way to acquire Kingdom Hearts to use its power as his own.
- Xemnas accomplished this task by following crucial steps. He first deduced that in order for the hearts to gather in
Kingdom Hearts rather than Heartless, the Heartless need to be destroyed by something, something that would prevent the hearts
from returning to the Heartless. But, the only thing that is capable of destroying Heartless and freeing the hearts is a Keyblade.
And Keyblade wielders don't come aound often anymore.
- So, he saw, with a smile on his face, that Sora, an existing Keyblade wielder is fighting the Heartless already, and
their hearts are already forming Kingdom Hearts. However, fearing that Sora could act against the Orgainzation, Xemnas needed
to do something about it. Pleased to notice that Sora sacrificed his heart, thus creating a Heartless and Nobody, Xemnas travelled
to a world In-Between, Twilight Town, and recruited his 13th member, Roxas.
- Now having a Keyblade wielder under his control, Xemnas could make him collect as many hearts as he pleased, and after
testing Sora's strength (KHFM) he was sure this plan would succeed. But, now he had to get Sora out of the way, he was too
much of a threat.
- Xemnas sent 6 members of the Organization to Castle Oblivion, a lonely castle on the brink of the Realm In-Between
to which they would keep Sora busy, turning him into a second puppet. Unfortunately, that didn't work out, so he thought by
using stolen memories, he could formulate an artificial Sora. This became Xion, the 14th member, his plans were succeeding.
Now he could finish in half the time, with 2 Keyblade wielders under his sleeve.
(In the end, though, they left)
- Xemnas' other reason for sending those members to Castle Oblivion was so they could search for the Chamber of Awakening,
in which the body of Ventus sleeps. He failed to find it, though.
3) Use that regained power to somehow regain his heart from Kingdom Hearts.
- So, Xemnas sent Roxas and Xion on missions to destroy large and vast quantites of Heartless. All those hearts
that he captured, Kingdom Hearts, began shining brightly in the sky of The World That Never Was, where he controlled the hearts'
movements. However, realizing the threat made by Roxas and Xion drainging each others' power, he set up a staged fight, which
backfired once Axel intervened. So, he made a device that takes memories from the heart of the world of Sora, and transforms
those memories the world's heart has into energy for Xion, who is capable of absorbing that power. Once one was out of the
way, Xemnas could use the fully replenished other to continue his plans at claiming Kingdom Hearts.
- This was very closely achieved until Ansem the Wise blew up Kingdom Hearts, in the official sequel, forcing Xemnas' long-time
work to be restarted from the beginning.
HIS IMPORTANCE
Xemnas is the main antagonist of KH2, and is considered the toughest member of them all, capable of wielding all elements
and weapons of the fellow Organization Members. Xemnas confuses Sora, hoping to somehow control him into forming Kingdom
Hearts.
BATTLES
Xemnas is the final boss in KH2, with the longest boss fight but not necessarily the toughest boss fight.
He first transports Sora by himself to a circular area resembling the Dark City, with a copy of Memory's Skyscraper there
as a field pylon. Xemnas uses this tower basically as a way to kill him easier.
Fight starts off pretty basically, usually starts as you VS Xemnas, no catches involved. Xemnas has some basic attacks.
He slashes pretty quickly with his Ethereal Blades, landing some nice combos on you, but not too bad. Basically, Reflect is
your friend in this battle.
Next, Xemnas has a shield attack, guarding himself with a wall of reflective light. In his first stages he just summons
it and stays behind it. Nothing special. Use Slapshot to breakthrough after waiting 1 second and land a full combo on him.
He also moves around using a portal of darkness, the good thing is that you see the portal of darkness everywhere it goes,
so you know exactly where he's going to pop out. Just keep landing combos as soon as he appears or wait for him to finish
his combo before you jump in to attack.
Then, there's his unique attack where he puts a strong force of nothingness on you, surrounding you in Nobody crystals
that continuously drain your health. How do you stop this? Well, run to the base of Memory's Skyscraper, and a reaction command
will appear. Activate it. Wait for a second, and Sora and Xemnas will have a staring contest. After that, Xemnas dives down
from the top of the tower and Sora jumps up, flying up the tower. Now, you'll see a reaction command. DO NOT HIT IT. Instead,
wait for the THIRD reaction command to appear and then strike, you will have dealt the most damage to Xemnas for that scenario.
After awhile, Xemnas will embrace his nothingness, and become more powerful. He will have increased attacks, longer combos,
and more powerfull slashes. Also, when he puts up his shield, he has a counterattack, whether you even move or not, so avoid
standing RIGHT in front of him, when he summons the shield. Use Guard, Quick Run, or Aerial Dodge to avoid this attack. Or
just run to the side.
Finally, he has his breakdancing move. We call it this because Xemnas looks like he's breakdancing all around you. He
will spin around turning upside-down and everything to deal massive amounts of damage. How do you stop this? Reflect, use
it until the combo dies out, because you can't interrupt him.
That's the basics for the first Xemnas fight. We also prefer using aerial combos on him, because they rule, but if you
like ground combos, they will work too.
FINAL FIGHT
STAGE ONE
Okay, so you saw the door magically appear, watched the cutscenes, and now you want to battle Xemnas. Well it's not that
easy. Stage one is basically getting to Xemnas. You may have realized that levelling up is completely pointless here as you
cannot save after this area anyways. (In final Mix you can.... *mad*)
So, once you initiate the command, you'll see some cutscenes, and notice that Kairi and the King are both locked outside,
leaving Sora, Donald, Goofy and Riku to do all the fighting.
This is really easy. All you do for the first room is wait for Xemnas' to say his speech, and start summoning giant buildings
from underneath the ground. As they get closer, Sora will get his Reaction Command. Activate it, and Sora will dissect all
the buildings, able to run to the next area.
Okay, now run forward and you will be on a platform tha will take you up a level. From here, run forward a bit, then
wait for the Skyscraper Reacton Commands. Just keep pressing Triangle because they will take you to the next area. Or you
can do what I always do, and superglide to the very end and then activate the final reaction commands.
Okay, this is where you actually do some work. Sora just jumped into the castle engines for some reason, and now he needs
to destroy them. Stupid, considering he's inside the engine.
So, use aerial combos of one or two hits apiece to wipe out the explosive bombers, and they will fall towards the engine
and damage it. Hit them as quickly as you can, locking on, and jumping and hitting constantly. I doubt you'll get the engine
damaged completely, so when the charge meter fills at the top of the screen, there will be a warning and then a blast of energy
from the engine. Activate the Reaction Command and you will be taken out of harms way. however, Donald and Goofy still get
hit.
Repeat this with the second engine until one of them is out of health. Use the Reaction Command to jump out of the way,
and then blow up the other one. After that, Sora will jump towards the actual castle itself. You'll be in a small little segment
with a Nobody Power Cell in front of you. You must attack the Power Cell to proceed. Use aerial combos because they will
always hit, until the shield gets put up. Now, just defeat the lesser Nobodies around you and the shield will go down. The
information will say, "Watch out for objects from above!" but you don't really need to worry much about that because they
often don't hit you.
So, once you deplete the health all the way, the Power Cell will glow, and you can activate the Reaction Command that
will take you to Stage 2.
STAGE TWO
Okay, this is where you actually fight Xemnas for the first time in the battle. He will be wearing a giant suit
of armour, sitting in a chair, holding a ridiculously large sword. He will begin the fight by saying lots of words. No one
cares what he's saying, they just want to beat him.
So, first of all are his two physical attacks.
SWORD SLASHES- He will raise his sword and swipe horizonally with it while making a longer 'Ha'. This attack will hit
you with multiple blows and you will get knocked back. To avoid this, try to guard, use Reflect, or just stand out of the
way, because it doesn't travel too far. To survive most of this fight, just attack him, and let Riku or Donald heal you.
SHIELD OF NOTHINGNESS- He will use this shield almost immediately without giving you warning so don't hang around in
front of him too long, or you will get hit. This is similar to Riku's shield, except is a perfect square. After he summons
it, wait one and a half seconds and start attacking again.
Now, we get into the other attacks.
LASER EMBLAZEMENT- He will summon his lasers that make him famous and they will zap you if you are not standing RIGHT
in front of him somewhere. So, watch out. They appear on both sides of him and stretch close to the back of the battle area.
These are his main attacks in this battle. Nothing really special. He can use some of the Organization's weapons, including
Xaldin's lances, and Demyx's Waternotes. Basically, attack when you can but always have your Reflect ready, just in case.
After this battle you will watch him in pain as he so-called fading away. He doesn't fade away, he merely teleports about
200km away into the head of a massive Nobody Dragon. Sora and Riku, being the only 2 left, must fight him alone, and destroy
the entire dragon. Fortunately ,they come across Xigbar's hovership which just happens to be laying around there, and use
that to try and defeat Xemnas. Here's where we go into....
STAGE 3
So, now we have to destroy this gigantic dragon in the Realm of Nothingness.
You will come across the new control system for Xigbar's Hovership. Sora attacks with X, Riku fires lasers with [ ],
and you can absorb enemy fire with O.
Pretty basic. My suggestion is to use Laser as much as possible, and use Sora to destroy all the Bombers that appear.
But, absorb the lasers that attack you, (the small ones) because when you absorb enough, you can attack back with Mega-Laser,
which completely annihalates anything in its path.
After destroying a piece of the dragon, it will send tiny little No-Bugs at you. Just move in a circle along the edge
of the screen to avoid all of them. Do the same thing when he summons the gigantic lasers. You can't absorb these, so watch
out. After destroying most of the dragon, you get sent ever further into the Realm of Nothingness, and fight the Xemnas Armour
again. But, on top of his original moves, he added some new specialties...
