Unversed are the enemies that appear in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. Unlike the Heartless and Nobodies,
the Unversed are under complete control by one person. That person is Vanitas. His creation of as a pure being of the dark
allowed him to feed on energy from negative emotions of other people. This unique power is what makes Vanitas so strong.
The Unversed are exactly the same. Although lacking human intelligence, they feed on negative emotions of people, multiplying
or strengthening themselves exactly as Vanitas is capable of, because they are just an incarnation of Vanitas himself. Vanitas
was the first Unversed.
The Unversed only follow commands given by Vanitas.
Since the Unversed are created solely because of the creation of Vanitas, when Vanitas was destroyed, the
Unversed were wiped from existence as well. That is why we don't see Unversed in the rest of the Kingdom Hearts series.
Unversed come in many forms just like the Heartless. Each one has its own unique power and is capable of
multiple fighting techniques.
The Unversed are also unique from Heartless and Nobodies in the sense that they are fairly simple creatures.
Their existence is clear, their purpose is clear, and we all know exactly what happened to them.
Vanitas used the Unversed to help Master Xehanort's plans, being the apprentice of Master Xehanort. Moving
on, below is a list of the Unversed and their abilities.
All of the following are found only in Birth By Sleep, and are all the Unversed that appear in
the game.
FLOOD
The most common type of Unversed. Created on feelings of irritation, these Unversed are the most common
types, found in all worlds visited. They act and behave very similarly, if not exactly the same, to Shadow Heartless. However,
the difference is that they are more agile than the Shadows. These Unversed dive underground and attack from beneath just
like Shadows, and make a variety of slashing and lunging movements.
SCRAPPER
This Unversed is based on the Soldier Heartless, attacking similarly with almost the same techniques. These,
however, prove to be a little faster and more flexible with their attacks.
BRUISER
This Unversed bears a resemblence to the Large Body Heartless. It is slower than other Unversed but still
faster than its Heartless counterpart.
RED HOT CHILI - BLUE SEA-SALT - YELLOW MUSTARD
These Unversed are all little pots, some of the smallest Unversed in the whole game. They are named because
of their colour, and a particular food they are associated with. Each one can attack the enemy with Fire - Blizzard - Thunder
Magic, all in that order. They also try to ram into you. This is very similar in behaviour to that of the Heartless, Red Nocturne,
Blue Rhapsody, and Yellow Opera.
