This is the Heartless Symbol.
Heartless are basically creatures that are a physical form of the darkness of someone's heart. Different
Heartless have different appearances, powers, and even weapons.
The Heartless are the main enemies in the Kingdom Hearts Series, posing as the way to level up. Nobodies
are other enemies introduced in KH2 that also give experience.
You may want to know, how is a Heartless really born? Well, first, we will seperate the Heartless into 2
seperate categories. Pureblood and Emblem.
PUREBLOOD
Pureblood Heartless are the natural Heartless. They are pure denizens of darkness with a single goal, to
multiply to take over the universe. They are senseless, though, incapable of thinking for themselves. When a person succumbs
purposefully to the darkness in their heart, when the darkness of the heart engulfs the body, that lost dark heart is transformed
into a Heartless. Ironic how they are HeartLESS yet are made out of purely a heart.
So, Purebloods have existed forever. They can multiply by taking more hearts, but their goal is to mindlessly
corrode the universe with darkness. They didn't use to exist in the Realm of Light, only in darkness, made purely of the darkness,
but were brought upon the Realm of Light by none other than Xehanort the Apprentice. He found that, when he disrupted the
hearts of some patients, they ceased to exist, and he stored the bodies and hearts away in the basement of his lab. After
returning after awhile, he saw the hearts, with nowhere to travel eventually were taken by themselves, allowing the Heartless
to slowly produce from those damaged hearts.
Purebloods don't release hearts when you destroy them. This is because they don't contain a heart within
them, they are a pure representation of the heart itself. So, you actually destroy the heart along with the creature. This
is when Emblem Heartless come in.
EMBLEM
Emblem Heartless are very different from Purebloods. Why? Well, they were introduced to the Realms by Xehanort,
when he took the process of creating a Pureblood Heartless and redesigning it so he could create his own Heartless. His plan
was to try and create a heart from nothing, but he became consumed of the darkness and lost his reason for starting the project.
The Heartless symbol is the emblem Xehanort gave his artificially created Heartless. These creatures can
be born with multiple conditions. As a person's heart is taken by a Heartless, it will most likely take some form of the Heartless
that stole that heart. Pureblood or emblem.
These Heartless are capable of being artificially created, and a machine in Radiant Garden is capable of
doing just that. This machine was shown in KH2, carrying thousands of captured hearts, constantly spawning Heartless into
the area, creating them from the power of the hearts.
All Heartless can be controlled by someone, but they can never be blinded of their goal, to capture more
hearts to multiply themselves. So, even if a strong person were to try to control the Heartless, they would regardless be
another victim of the Heartless.
Only an extremely powerful Heartless could have complete control over the Heartless, this was Ansem,
Seeker of Darkness, who was a Heartless himself, resembling mostly of Master Xehanort in actions and attitude. He is the only
known human-like Heartless in existence so far, and it might even stay that way.
This is a bunch of information on the Heartless, now let's take a look at all the different species
of Heartless...
You can suggest the heartless you want to see on this page!
THESE HEARTLESS APPEAR IN KH1 UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE
All enemies with percentage drops beside them refer to the KH2 percentages only. UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.

Shadow
The Shadow is the most common heartless. It's a Pureblood Heartless. It appears in every Kingdom Hearts game. It
jumps and attacks with it's claws.
It's found on every world in all games and drops the Dark Shard.
Dark Shard- 4%

Neoshadow
The "upgraded" form of the shadow. It does the same kind of attacks but they are alot stronger! Watch for it when it
is ready to resurface for a chance to use a reaction command! These are found in nearly every world.
In Days, these creatures are found in a few worlds and can be EXTREMELY annoying if you're in mission mode.
Lucid Crystal- 8%
Bright Crystal- 4%

Soldier
This is another common heartless that can be found in every world of "Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2." They
attack by flinging their arms at you. Use the Reaction Command Cyclone to defeat this heartless quickly.
Dark Shard- 8%
Bright Shard- 4%

Dark Ball
A heartless that is common in KH 1 and KH CoM. Destroy it to get health. This heartless
will run wild and will turn to darkness and float somewhere else, I suggest destroying it fast because they are a pain.

Guard Armor
A heartless that appears in most KH games. When it's dead you need to fight the "Opposite Armour" later on. A helpful
way to destroy it is to attack the arms and legs, when they are destroyed then take out the body, do the same with the "Opposite
Armour".
You also fight this in "Olympus Coliseum" in both KH1 and KH 358 2 Days!
When the fight begins, you must attack as much as you possibly can. This will help you take out as much HP that you can. Guard
Armour will eventually start breaking apart and attacking with random body parts. Our suggestion is to attack the hands first,
as they are weaker, and quicker to defeat, then you can focus on the feet afterwards. Eventually, Guard Armour will set itself
up into a more powerful attack mode, capable of appearing once its limbs are completely destroyed. This battle is quite difficult
in KH1 if you haven't leveled up enough.
In Days, you fight Guard Armour in Olympus Coliseum, in the tournament where you fight Xigbar. Its moves are pretty straightforward
as it follows a system:
Flail Barrage: Where it aimlessl wanders about trying to deal damage to you. Attack it with one or two aerial combos
in between it's attacks to lower its health.
Bounce: Guard Armour will cease attacking after a certain portion of health is taken away and will fly into the air,
attempting to land on top of you in a huge shockwave. But then... its's head falls off. Attack this as much as possible.
Seperation Domination: Guard Armour will seperate. The hands will spin in rapid circles and the feet will stomp their
way around you. Kill the hands first, then the feet. Afterwards, Guard Armour will be only a body and will start spinning
chaotically. Just run away from it during this period of time, until it stops spinning, then attack. After an amount of HP
is taken, it will fall down, and that's when you can finish it off.
In CoM, well, just attack as much as possible. No skill is really needed to defeat it, it's super easy. Just spam all
your cards.

Trick Master
This heartless appears in the world "Wonderland". If you want the advantage I suggest attacking its head to knock it
down. It will use fire magic so carry the spell Blizzard and the item Elixir, if necessary. This creature is amazingly
simple to beat if you level up enough.
When fighting him in KH1, use the table and chair in the middle of the room to save your life. Jump on it, and attack
the Trickmaster. After taking enough successsive damage, the Trickmaster will collapse, regaining it's momentum for another
wave of attacks.
It will try to hurt you by flailing its arms aorund. Simply run out of the way, or block (if you have the ability). Also,
it can launch homing fireballs at you, so be careful and respond with Blizzard magic to get some Tech EXP and stun the Trickmaster.

Stealth Sneak
This heartless appears when you fight Clayton from the world "Deep Jungle". If you kill it before you kill clayton you
will recive a Mega-Potion. Though really, I thought this battle was just a big pain, especially if you're not leveled up enough.
So, deal with this enemy as quickly and effectively as possible. After fighting Clayton alone briefly, he will summon this
beast, and you will try to defeat them both. However, you're really trying to defeat Clayton so try going for him if
you can, but otherwise, stick to Stealth Sneak. It's disappearing act can drive anyone crazy, and, as an added pain, you can
only defeat it with a particularly strong finisher at just the right moment. Stealth Sneak will try to hit you with its claws,
so don'nt stay in too long. Also, watch out for when it's eyes begin to shine, for it will fire lasers that will track you
down unless you outrun them. Be careful, this enemy is surprisingly tough.

Pot Centipede
This is the first sub-boss in Agrabah. This heartless is a long line of pots that are then connected to its head. Destroy
the pots and then destroy the heads to win. You obtain a prize called "Ray of Light".

Parasite Cage
An unusually annoying heartless, this thing will burp poison at you (which will decrease your health) it will also smack
and hit you with its tentacle arms and its body. Attack the core in its mouth when fighting it again, this will deal critical
blows and it will make it drop a lot of health.

Darkside
The heartless you fight numerous times. Attack its hands to hurt it, if you deal a critical hit it will fall over and
be knocked out. When that happens then attack the head to deal some real damage.

Wizard
This Heartless appears first in Hollow Bastion, then later in a variety of worlds in KH1 and CoM.
They have many different attacks, most of which are pretty straightforward.
Fira- Shoots a fireball at you which you can easily dodge.
Blizzara- Shoots a medley of ice crystals at you. Jump or simply walk out of the way.
Thundara- This is the tricky part, because unlike your Thunder, theirs goes on for a good 5-10
seconds. On top of that, while performing Thunder, they are invincible, so don't bother attacking them. Attack other enemies
and try to get it before it starts up again.
Inversed Gravira- This I thought was a cool name for this move. Basically, the Wizard summons a wave
of Earth energy that tracks you down and performs a burst of random energy stuff from under you. Usually you can easily run
out of its range, because it stops for a few seconds before firing.
Teleport- Not an actual attack, but a pain all the same. A wizard's teleport can be negated somehow.
I find it gets stopped when I attempt to atack it while it's teleporting. Somehow that cancels it out. The Aerial Strike,
where you leap into the air, always seems to work for me.
On top of this, the Wizard drops some items, too. KH1
It's general item:
Ether
It's synthesis item:
Shiny Crystal
AND it's unique item.
Wizard's Relic
The Wizard Relic is an item for Donald, and has a semi-powerful feel to it. I stick with Violetta, but that's just me.

Bit Sniper
This heartless appears when you're fighting the "FINAL" form of Ansem. It will shoot lasers at you so watch out. Kill
them to get a lot of health. This will help against Ansem.

Phantom
An extremely hard Emblem Heartless to kill, those non-magic people, get used to using magic because you can only
hurt the Phantom with magic. You find this Heartless at the Clock Tower (Talk to Tink) so you have to carry Peter Pan and
also carry Goofy because he is a big help. (have Goofy carry the ability MP Gift so he can donate his magic to you). When
the magic core is red, use Fire, when it's yellow use Thunder, when it's blue use Blizzard and when it's white just attack
it normally. Also carry the "Stopra" spell with you, because when the clock hands start moving, they countdown a person's
life. It starts with Peter Pan, then Goofy, then you. Cast Stopra on the hands to freeze them. After 2 (3 if you're good)
rounds of attack, hide, attack, hide, cast Stopra, even if the hands aren't moving yet. I cast them everytime I hide.
Hint: hit the pink worm it sends at you, this will block it and it saves a load of HP but don't miss or you will lose
much HP.
Or, you can just hide behind one of the sides of the clock tower. While you're there, you might as well cast Stopra.
When he starts the battle he will have a countdown that is associated with the clock tower. Every time the clock turns
twice, a team member is killed off. To avoid this, every time you see the hands moving or even before they start moving, cast
Stopra on the middle of the clock, and your friends lives will be spared.

Kurt Zisa
Named after the winner of a Square contest, Kurt Zisa is one of the most powerful heartless in the first Kingdom Hearts
game. He appears in Agrabah after you're beaten Dark Riku/Ansem. He is very powerful so stock up on mega-lixers
and be a high level. He will have two phases that he switches up periodically. The first is Combat mode, where you can only
use the Keyblade, no magic. Our suggestion is that since he activates this form at the very beginning of the battle, quickly
summon tinkerbell to give yourself the upper hand. You will need to attack the orbs in his hands. Get used to using guard,
you'll need it.
In magic mode, Kurt Zisa will float in an impenetrable orb, which can only be destroyed through magic. Use Thundaga if
possible. If you run low on magic, he will periodically drop magic orbs if you attempt to deal a physical attack.
When you knock him out after a form you have a set time where you deal the actual damage, he will lie helplessly, his
snake head flailing about.
Eventually in combat form, he will perform a spinning attack. To avoid this, either guard at the right time, or dodge
roll sideways if he's coming straight on you or dodge roll towards him if he is spinning like a top. If you mess this up,
you'll get massive damage, so watch out!
The Heartless that are under this line are found in KH 358 2 Days!

Zip Slasher-Dual Blade-Heat Saber-Chill Ripper-Blitz Spear-Stalwart Blade
This Heartless is only in Days, and is fairly easy when you know how to deal with it.
The first time you encounter it, you won't be able to use magic against it. Zip Slasher is immune to magic
and doesn't have its charge attack. It only spins and stabs, so it's actually the toughest to beat, despite being the smallest
and first to encounter.
Easily guard or just run away when it attacks, and keep hitting it, more with Aerial Combos, I find they work better
for some reason.
For the other versions, block it when it does its charge attack then use the appropriate magic skill for each enemy
to severely damage it. If the jump into the air, run and jump/air slide just before it hits the ground to avoid it.
Still block or run away whenever it does its spin and stab.
For the Dual Blade, blast it with Thundaga.
For the Heat Saber, use Blizzaga.
For the Chill Ripper, use Firaga.
For the Blitz Spear and Stalwart Blade, use Aeroga. Use all these types of magic for the best effect against the enemy.
Some destroy them in a few hits.

Tailbunker-Avalanche-Wavecrest-Phantomtail-Windstorm
This Heartless also comes in a variety of forms, each with different elements. Only to 358/2 Days, this Heartless ranges
from easiest boss to hardest boss fight easily.
Their basic attacks are spinning charge while in air, flip over and land on ground, dart forward and land on the ground,
and shoot different forms of energy from its mouth, depending on the version you have.
Many of these attacks can be avoided simply by running out of the way or by guarding and knocking the enemy off balance,
if you're feeling adventurous. In fact all attacks are avoidable with a simple guard. Strike the wings or tail first to knock
them out of the sky and then attack the head. (this won't work with Wavecrest or Phantomtail)
Use the following magic on them for the best effect.
Tailbunker- Blizzaga
Avalanche- Firaga
Wavecrest- Usually easy to just hit with the Keyblade.
Phantomtail- I used Thundaga because it's quick and still hits the enemy before it teleports.
Windstorm- Thundaga
So, these shouldn't be too hard to beat but if you're facing three Windstorms then prepare yourself with Thundagas and
blast them out of the sky!
We didn't include the Dustflier in this because it deserves it's own file.

Infernal Engine
This heartless appears in "Beasts Castle" and is powerful, carry lots of potions, it will either attack by ramming you,
shooting cannon balls at you, or hitting you with its hammer. Hit the cannon balls back at this heartless by blocking, this
will take out the archers on it. Hit the charger when it sticks out, that's its weakness. There are 3 archers on
top of it so watch your step and don't get hit.

Crimson Prankster
A difficult heartless to destroy. This one appears in "Wonderland" and has a stradegy, it splits into two, the only way
to defeat it is ti destroy both copies at the same time, if you don't then the other copy will revive the fallen one! A trick
is to get both pranksters to exactly 1 health and use a limit break to annialate them both at once. Here's a tip, when it
uses the "Fire Tornado" move then use Aero to counter it. When it uses its "Flame Thrower" move then counter it with Blizzard
magic!

Leech Grave
One of the hardest heartless' ever created, it is found in "Halloween Town" in the area where Oogie Boogies Manor used
to be. Do not go close combat, instead attack the "Tenta-Claws" first, when the claws are gone then the heartless will fall
over unconsious and you can take up to 2 bars of health! This heartless is tricky so you have to be patient and take your
time. Belive me, this strategy is basically the only one that works! Try not to get eaten by the "Tenta-Claws" because it
takes 1/3 of you health away! Guard them when they try to eat you to knock them out, then cast magic or spam attacks.

Ant Lion
This heartless swims freely in the sand in the Agrabah Desert area, attack it when it's swimming. This thing will dive
up and down in the sand once in a while. Use MAGIC to your advantage. Thunder is specially effective if used at the right
time. After you get this thing mad, a tornato will appear around it. When the tornado is around it, then attack the yellow
cubes on the ground to send them flying back at it, this will take the tornado away from it. If your lucky then there might
be a chance it will be knocked out.
GLITCH: If you use aeroga just at the right time when he's just exiting his swimming form, occasionally, you will get
flipped over and fall into a black void and then die instantly. This happened to me once, and I'm like, "...okay."

Ruler of the Sky
This is one of the most powerful and annoying heartless in the game, it will attack using its water salvo if you are
too close to the water. Attack it's tail to get to the core. Each time you take a bit off the tail, it will glow red and charge
at you, be sure to dodge this! Another attack is it's munny attack, where it shoots 1000 coins out of its mouth at you. This
heartless is at Neverland, be sure to take the right panels in to battle! Don't bother taking magic panels EXCEPT for all
Fire magic, Firaga, especially. To avoid its final water attack stay in one spot in the middle and just rise up and down to
avoid the orbs.
Also, during the munny attack, get down low as soon as possible, he can't hit you. But don't let him get off of the area
map or you won't be able to hit him! (assuming its a guy)

Dustflier
--Premium Orb--
Commonly, the toughest Heartless in the game, period.
Why is this Heartless so tough? Many reasons... it's large amounts of HP, it's ridiculous defense, it's uncanny strength,
and it's variety of status inflictors. Obviously not easy, and also the favourite boss of those fans who like a challenge.
Really, the Dustflier isn't too hard as long as you know it's moves, you have the proper abilities and you have patience,
because it doesn't like to lose health that much. It does get affected by magic, especially Thundaga, but since you don't
have a big time range to use it, I would go against it.
You MUST MUST MUST have glide equipped at a decent level, (at least 2-3) in order to stand a chance!
The following are basic Dustflier attacks and how to avoid them.
(Also, I find it's better to attack the wings than the head because there's more wing to attack, and the head doesn't
really get any extra damage for attacking it.)
-Shockwave Slam. Dustflier will jump into the air for 2 seconds then when it touches ground, a giant
shockwave will emit from its feet covering the majority of the battlefield. To avoid this watch it jump into the air and just
before it touches down jump and hold the glide button but DON'T move around, stay in one place and slowly descend for now.
Remain a distance of about one extra Dustflier away from it when it does this. This will help prepare for the next attacks.
Also, don't touch the ground after the shockwave passes because the ground is still charged and can still damage you.
This can also cause ANY status effects.
-Backflip Kick. This attack is going to be used when the Dustflier hops into the air slowly and gradually,
then it will perform this Earth-based HP-halving attack. When slowly descending, you can tell it will do the flip by jumping
straight in the air. Start to glide towards it by hitting a directional button, when you reach it, you should get there right
after it finishes its kick. Depending on the weapon mod you have, this is the chance to land the maximum amount of combos
in the whole battle. It will then jump back into the air.
-Soaring Tackle. Dustflier will perform this move when you see him jumping off the ground, putting its
feet behind it. It will soar quickly towards you with this air-tossing move. After descending move the directional button
to the side, to the left or right of the Dustflier to avoid it. Once it lands, you should get one or two combos depending
on the weapon installed, but run off when it jumps up again.
-Firestorm. Dustflier will perform this attack when you see it remain on the ground tipping its head
back. It will shoot many fireballs into the air which will explode upon impact with the ground. They DO target you, so glide
quickly to avoid it. You have two options.
A- Glide around in a big circle away from the Dustflier then slowly back avoiding the fireballs.
B- Do a rocket glide to behind the pillars in front of the entryway to the station. They shouldn't get you here,
but still, it depends where the Dustflier is located when this happens.
This attack can ignite you on impact. Also, DO NOT try to attempt to attack it after this attack. Instead wait for the
next move, and work from there. I once had a full battle where he never used Firestorm, so it all depends on luck, and skill.
Mostly skill.
So, you see what we're dealing with? The hardest in the game based on survival. It's attacks take a large chunk out of
your health right at the beginning. If you want a real challenge, unequip all level panels and activate the Extreme ring,
all the while using the basic Kingdom Key, as Roxas in Mission Mode. and see if you can beat it (the whole challenge)! Special
reward if you send in a video of your proof of succeeding! ON PROUD MODE! (We know, sounds impossible, but it can be done
with someone with serious SERIOUS skills. Oh, and a lot of patience.
THE FOLLOWING IS ONLY FOUND IN KH2

Bulky Vendor
(found in KH2)
The rarest heartless ever, it does not attack. You can get various prizes from it:
Capsule prize - Bright Shard, Orichalcum- 8%
Rare capsule - Bright Stone, Orichalcum- 10%
Limited capsule - Bright Gem, Orichalcum- 12%
Prime capsule - Bright Crystal, Orichalcum- 16%
If you choose the capsule prize then you get bright shard but if you choose prime you get bright crystal, etc. If you
want the orichalcum you randomly choose one of the four capsules above. The rarer one you pick the more likely you will get
an orichalcum.
BEWARE: As it's health lowers, you get access to a rarer capsule, but it also runs away faster, so you must trap it in
a corner in order to be able to access the Prime Capsule, or be lucky to get it when it jumps in the air to change. Don't
take too long or it will actually disappear! (Take off any quick limits so you don't set one off accidentally)!
