The story of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days falls right after Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories and right before Kingdom Hearts 2. The story features Roxas and his life with Organization XIII and how he first meets Axel, Organizations number VIII. Roxas will have to do certain missions for the Organization, as he is the key to Kingdom Hearts.

 

A new member of the Organization, Xion, Number XIV is exactly like Roxas, she can use the Keyblade. Roxas and Xion start doing missions together and eating ice cream on the Twilight Town clock tower. As Xion hangs around Roxas, she starts to form a face, as she first came to the Organization, she was faceless.

 

As the story goes on Roxas soon Finds out that Xion is Just a mere Puppet, like the Riku in Castle Oblivion, Xion is a mistake that the Organization found, she was made of the leaked memories of Sora when Namine puts hia memories back together.

 

But something is wrong, Sora cannot wake until all the memories are back, Xion still hangs on to those most important Memories of Kairi.

 

The Organization used Xion so they can get their goal faster, When the Organization is finished with Xion, Xemnas makes them fight because he now only needs one so Sora can wake. If Xion destroys Roxas or vice versa the one who falls will go into the other.

 

Later on Roxas starts to question his life with the Orgainzation, so he askes Axel where he came from, as Roxas is asking, Xion is doing the same thing. Since the memories from C.O. leaked out into Xion, that is where she comes from.

 

Xion finds Roxas after he runs away from the Organization. The reason for this is because Riku needs to get sora awake and getting Roxas and Xion is the only way. Riku leads Xion to Namine and Namine tells Xion that she must go to sora, and if defeating Roxas is the only way, then she will do it.

 

Roxas now has no choice as to fight Xion who now looks like Sora, When Roxas defeats Xion, herself and her memories go into Sora and everyone starts to Forget Xion.

 

Roxas leaves and travls on, until he meets riku, Roxas and Riku suddenly start to fight and Riku loses, but as they fight again, Riku uses the Darkness to help him win.

 

After Roxas is knocked out, DiZ comes and taks Roxas to a Simulated Twilight Town, so Roxas would not know the difference.

 

Naminé is used to wipe Roxas' memory of his life in the Organization, so he would become less of a threat towards DiZ's master plan, to overthrow the entire Organization, using Sora to accomplish it.

 

Now with Roxas caught this leads us up to Kingdom Hearts 2 Where the rest of the story unfolds.
